Vision:
We envision relevant, real-world, interdisciplinary learning outside the classroom cultivating ecological stewardship, healthy eating, and the wellbeing of communities.
Mission:
The Cultivating Learning Network (CLN) cultivates teaching and learning gardens, learning communities, and on-line forums for knowledge sharing to support students and faculty in teaching, learning, and researching in real world, outdoor settings.
We conceive the CLN as including:
- people involved in garden-based learning at UBC, in the Lower Mainland, and worldwide;
- places where we engage in garden-based learning; and
- on-line spaces where we share ideas and experiences
The CLN invites faculty, staff, and students to engage in teaching, learning, and research with our garden sites and communities.
